Villa Eyewear presents the John Richmond 2010 Eyewear collection. Under a licensing agreement with Allison, Villa Eyewear has the exclusive distribution rights in the U.S. for John Richmond Eyewear and Sunwear. Designed and manufactured in Italy, the new collection consists of 12 ophthalmic frames and nine sunglasses made of German silver, stainless steel, exclusive zyl laminates and injected plastics. Targeted to men and women looking for elegant and sophisticated, yet distinctive designs, the line consists of variations on rectangles, ovals and such vintage-inspired styles as the clubman in the ophthalmics and rounds, bold wraps and aviators in the sun collection. The color palette ranges from classic black, brown, gray, tortoise, white, red, blue and honey to silver, matte bronze, gunmetal and ruthenium. Design details include tattoo motifs adorned with Swarovski crystals, skull symbols, a metal stud with the slogan “it’s only rock ’n’ roll” and an acetate brow bar on a metal style. Sunglasses are equipped with polycarbonate lenses.

John Richmond is an English fashion designer based in Milan. Since 1987, he has worked under his own name producing three lines: John Richmond, Richmond X and a denim line, Richmond Denim. His close ties with the rock music fashion industry have led him to dress stars such as Madonna, George Michael, David Bowie, Mick Jagger and Annie Lennox.
