Whether she’s styling celebrities in couture at awards shows, dressing brides to be or designing her ready-to-wear collections, designer VERA WANG is accustomed to being behind the scenes. This month, she steps in front of the camera starring in Kenmark Eyewear’s Vera Wang 2021 eyewear campaign. The campaign features Wang wearing the latest sunwear and optical styles from all collection segments of the Vera Wang portfolio.
“We’re so thrilled to have Vera Wang featured in our 2021 campaign,” says Kenmark vice president of marketing Marissa Cundiff. “This is such exciting news for the collection, and the imagery is beautiful. We couldn’t be more excited to release what we feel is our best campaign yet.”
Wang shares the excitement on her latest eyewear collection: “Eyewear is one of my favorite fashion/beauty accessories! Like a new lipstick or eyeshadow, a special pair of glasses can express your own sense of style, create a new persona and most of all, protect your vision.”
The new frame styles take cues from Wang’s spring 2021 ready-to-wear and bridal collections in modern shapes ranging from feminine to masculine. Colors and materials are mixed by lamination or layered to create a palette drawing from Wang’s use of neutrals and dark floral touches, while crystal embellishments remain a key detail featured prominently on frame styles. The eyewear doesn’t shy away from making a statement, and neither does Vera Wang in her striking campaign photos.
