When it comes to important and long-lasting partnerships, THE MCGEE GROUP and VERA BRADLEY share a unique bond. What makes their 12-year relationship so special? Both companies have a common cause—ending breast cancer. “My friend and Vera Bradley co-founder Patricia R. Miller and I began raising funds for breast cancer research in 1993 after the loss of our dear friend and co-worker, Mary Sloan,” says Barbara Bradley Baekgaard, co-founder of Vera Bradley. “Our commitment to this cause has evolved into the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.”

Since the beginning of their partnership, The McGee Group has contributed greatly to the over $30 million the foundation has raised, and it continues to donate the proceeds from every Vera Bradley frame sold. Although the company releases its Breast Cancer Foundation Collection including sun, optical and kids frames in June, the collection is re-introduced in October for breast cancer awareness month alongside its annual social media Focus On A Cure campaign. Throughout this month, The McGee Group also donates $10 to the foundation for every hashtag that is posted to Facebook and Instagram as part of the campaign.

“We knew right from the start almost 12 years ago, the combination of our two companies was going to be special,” says Matthew McGee, vice president of The McGee Group. “We think our unique partnership together has led to the creation of great products our consumers are proud to wear and our special accounts and dealers are excited to present. We are looking forward to many more years of continued success with the Vera Bradley brand.”
