With summer just around the corner, time to better understand UV radiation and its effects on the eyes. Make May part of your office’s UV Awareness month. Be sure to best describe the lenses and sunwear that protect every customer from 100 percent of UV radiation hitting the eyes and the skin around it.

Visit The Vision Council website and download the book, Spare Your Sight, Using Shades for Protection and Style. Visit 2020mag.com/education. That will take you to the rich library of Continuing Education courses that look at UV from a variety of directions. For example, read the course “Promoting Sunglass Sales Through Social Media,” since it’s not enough to understand UV, you must attract as many customers as possible to talk to. Social media is today’s best way to spread the word.
