It was a dream team as Marchon paired up with ESPN as the official sponsor of the 2008 Excellence in Sports Achievement Yearly Awards, known simply at the ESPYS.

The annual event, held this year at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, recognizes individual and team achievements in athletics over the past year. Marchon along with Nike Eyewear hosted an eyewear makeover room where athletes could receive a personal fitting. Among those getting new eye styles were Michael Strahan (1) of the Super Bowl champion New York Giants in Nike NK6027; Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens (2) in NK6026; professional golfer and eight-time LPGA Player of the Year recipient Annika Sorenstam (3) in NK4142; world middleweight boxing champion Kelly Pavlik (4) in Nike with Flexon style NK4093; world pro surfing champ Stephanie Gilmore (5) in Nike Vomero; Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart (6) in NK7021; and members of the NBA champion Boston Celtics, Rajon Rondo (7) and James Posey (8) both in Nike Zonda.

Marchon was also around for some pre-game activities, taking a dip in the legendary grotto at the famous Playboy Mansion during a pre-ESPY party hosted by Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. The grotto itself was the site for Sean Jean Eyewear makeovers. Athletes suiting up in Sean Jean sun styles included Amani Toomer (9), wide receiver for the Super Bowl champion New York Giants, in SJ118S; Ray Allen (10), shooting guard for the NBA champion Boston Celtics, also in SJ118S; L.A. Lakers shooting guard Sasha Vujacic (11) in SJ117S; and Portland Trailblazers center Greg Oden (12) in SJ116S.
