Sunwear is more than a summertime necessity. Dispel the common perception that sunglasses are not needed during cooler weather and promote the benefits of sunwear year round.

We may sound like a broken record but kids need sunwear! The damage caused by the sun’s harmful UV rays are cumulative, making children’s eyes even more vulnerable. When fitting your younger patients with optical frames, be sure to recommend sunglasses too.

Polarized lenses are important for those who spend a lot of time outdoors or on the water. Explain to your active patients the benefits of polarization and how it can enhance their visual experience by reducing glare and enriching colors. Polarized test displays are a great way to demonstrate the difference.

In addition to their optical frames, remind customers that you can also Rx their sunglasses. This creates a terrific opportunity for a second pair sale.
