Adidas Eyewear introduces its Inspired ConnX collection. Available from Silhouette Optical, the new line was developed for a younger, sports-minded consumer and is constructed from incredibly strong, yet flexible, Performance Steel for the frame fronts and lightweight SPX, a proprietary polyamide, for the temples. The frames incorporate Adidas Eyewear’s Comfortable Fit system, which prevents pressure points from forming behind the ears and provides two axes for the nosepads to move along, allowing them to adjust to the individual’s face. The temples, which are inspired by Adidas’ ClimaCool Technology, are ventilated to prevent perspiration. Advanced screwless hinges, which can be adjusted manually, are especially beneficial for opticians. Inspired ConnX is offered in four models (all variations on rectangles and bowties) with straight, sporty temples. Each style comes in three colors—black, havana and khaki. The eye sizes are 50mm and 52mm with temple lengths of 135mm and 145mm.

PHILOSOPHY: "The Adidas brand is a global leader in sports style and brings sport credibility to eyewear,” says Jeff Ravreby, U.S. brand manager, Adidas Eyewear. “The ConnX is the marriage of Adidas’s best proprietary materials with a younger, fresh design.”

Merchandising materials include countercards and a poster. Each frame comes with a hard case.

Performance Steel was originally used by the aerospace and medical industries because of its no compromise flexibility, strength and hypoallergenic properties. SPX (Silhouette Polyamide—X is the secret ingredient that gives the plastic its renowned flexibility and elasticity) is a resilient, featherweight material.
