New York Eye/A Hart Specialties Company launches Valerie Spencer Eyewear, a house brand targeting fashion-conscious women for whom sleek, comfortable eyewear represents a sophisticated and elegant lifestyle. The line contains 20 ophthalmic styles in metal, including flat metals and stainless steel, zyl and metal/zyl combinations. Shapes consist of variations on bowties, butterflies and rectangles in such rich colors as salmon and camel, striking contrasts of black and red, and black and cobalt, blue and monochromatic fronts with vividly striped temples. Design elements range from carvings and bold graphics to split temples, open lace-work and open outer eye rims. The “V” logo is embedded in the temple tip of each frame. An Rxable sunglass collection featuring large eye shapes is being planned.

PHILOSOPHY:“Valerie Spencer Eyewear is designed to complement a women’s point-of-view, whether she is enjoying the daily events of life or a special night on the town,” says New York Eye president Arthur Jankolovits. “The frame designs encompass feminine details that are a balance of casual and complex, subtle and versatile.”.
MARKETING: A logo plaque/single frame display is available. Gifts-with-purchase include Victorian-style jewelry boxes and picture frames. Each style comes with a hard case with magnetic closure and imprinted micro-fiber lens cloth.
