Coburn Technologies has launched an online storefront for selling lab consumable products and spare parts in the U.S. at This new online store, built in conjunction with Coburn’s new Lab Works group, incorporates many functional improvements over the previous website and uses a more streamlined catalog directory to find products and parts quicker and easier. In addition, fully registered Coburn customers will have more real-time access to their orders and account information via a secure online customer portal.

Key features of the new online store include: larger selection of products (over 6,000); no minimum order amount or order fees; easier payment options for paying via PO or credit card; more intuitive organization of supplies and parts; faster registration for new online accounts; and ability to view and pay invoices online.

“We are always looking for ways to make it easier for customers to do business for us,” says Alex Incera, president of Coburn Technologies. “We are excited about this new website rollout because so many of the changes we are implementing were based on feedback from our customers.”

Lab Promotion. During April through August of this year, more than 100 wholesale labs competed with others of similar size to earn cash prizes based on level of support to grow the Kodak Lens brand. The participating labs were also eligible to offer their ECP customers rewards during the Cruise through Summer with Kodak Lenses ECP promotion, which in the end, awarded 15 practices with a cruise vacation (or cash prize), and more than $15,000 were distributed in gift card rewards.

Labs that earned a cash prize during the promotion include: Robertson Optical Lab in Columbia, S.C.; Quality Optical Lab in Florida; Ozarks Optical Lab in Missouri; Milroy Optical Lab in Florida; Focus Optical Lab in Illinois; Custom Eyes Optical, Precision Optics, Spectrum Optical and Custom Eyes Optical Labs in Minnesota.

Signet Armorlite also announced at Vision Expo West the winners of its Cruise through Summer national promotion for Kodak progressive lenses. From April 1 through Aug. 31, eyecare professionals were invited to participate for a chance to win a cruise vacation or cash prize and earn gift card rewards by redeeming Kodak progressive lens purchases from participating laboratories. More than 400 ECPs registered for the promotion, of which 15 practices were selected in random monthly drawings to win a cruise vacation or cash prize, and more than $15,000 in gift card rewards were distributed.
