Le Corbusier certainly surrounded himself with “stuff” while at his work desk, and this famous portrait by Brassai certainly captures the man and his multitude of muses and amusements but our eyes go to that one object guiding his vision. Not sure what style it might be but for sure it is perfect in that style. Simple. Perfect. Style. And fit for a master.

Starting some early research into renewing our definition of what it means to be a Modern Man in eyewear, and this early advertisement for the Ranger from Art-Craft reminds us the double brow bar Aviator forever suits up well. This one came in 10 sizes, five different metal colorations and a choice of two temples. The last sentence notes “… every man should have the social security he deserves.”
