Christophe Mayet of Essilor Sun Solution joined the winners of the Essilor Sun Solution design contest at an award ceremony at Silmo.

A number of design students were honored at an award ceremony at the recent Silmo exhibition in Paris for their winning proposals in the E-SUN KOLOR UP PROJECT. The proposals were selected from among the many presented by students in their final year of studies at IED–Istituto Europeo di Design in the jewelry and accessories design course, which includes curriculum on eyewear design.

The students were asked to develop a concept frame, communication campaign and marketing tools based on E-Sun Kolor Up, an Essilor Sun Solution brand and sun lens technology which offers a clear perception of colors and improved vision. The project was promoted by Essilor Sun Solution, the Essilor Group division dedicated to sun plano lenses and the Istituto Europeo di Design in Turin, Italy.

First prize was awarded to Denise Tatiana D’Orazio for the project “Cycle.” Second prize went to Juliana Vergara Rodriguez for the project “Bulle Magnetique.” Third prize was awarded to Arianna Gambino for the project “Fragmenta.”

Special mentions were given to Beatrice Picca Piccon for Modern Fashion Design; Carola Nomden for Modern Lifestyle Design; Elena De Bastiani for Modern Design; Denise Tatiana d’Orazio for Rx frame with Kolor Up Lenses; and Giorgia Donalisio for Innovative Concept. Denise Tatiana d’Orazio was also recognized for Digital Media Mention.
