In our optical world, many of us tend to associate design and art with mostly eyewear frames. But every eyecare professional knows that design and art aren’t exclusive to just frame products—they also play integral roles in the look and feel of their practice spaces.

A leader in the manufacturing of custom optical display systems and ophthalmic environments, EYE DESIGNS are experts in helping ECPs with innovative solutions for successful retail environments. Now the company is taking its expertise in creating inviting spaces even further with the launch of OPTICAL ART, a new collection of products that helps enhance and add the finishing touch to any practice location.

OPTICAL ART features an impressive selection of artwork with a dedicated eyecare theme. With over 60 different prints to choose from, the artwork is available in a variety of style genres such as watercolor washes, line art, digital photography, graphic treatments and more—all with an optic feel. Each piece is exclusive to the Eye Designs Group and designed by Eye Designs’ creative director Douglas Capper. “I always enjoy any creative outlet that comes my way. When I was asked to make some art pieces specific to the optical industry, I jumped at the chance. It started with just a few and quickly snowballed into nearly 100 different pieces that are created with a variety of techniques and mediums. It has genuinely been a lot of fun, and the response has been very positive,” says Capper.

OPTICAL ART addresses the industry need to add a creative decorative element to eyecare practices and fills the void of creative eyecare art. “Our clients are excited to now have a variety of artwork choices that are specific to the optical industry which reflect the practice’s personal style as a finishing touch to their space,” adds Richard Winig, owner of Eye Designs. All pieces are designed to match multiple decor styles and can be coordinated to create groupings. Printed on high quality professional art paper with fade resistant ink, trimmed and ready for framing, all prints are available in square, landscape and portrait configurations with multiple standard sizes to choose from. Browse through the current portfolio of artwork at Eye Designs’ website, opticaldisplays.com/collections/optical-art, and check back frequently, as new pieces will be added as completed.
