PHILOSOPHY: “Altair Eyewear broadens its Tommy Bahama sunglass line with 10 high-fashion styles (five women’s and five men’s), made of handmade acetate and metal. Two of the women’s frames feature leather-wrapped temples. Lenses are constructed of CR-39 or polycarbonate and offered with solid or gradient tints, with or without a flash mirror. Some styles have polarized lenses. The women’s collection is more colorful than previous lines, using rich shades of creams, golds, blues and greens as well as traditional blacks and tortoises. The men’s styles come in bronze, gunmetal, black/crystal, tortoise and horn. Shapes consist of retro-inspired and oversized oval,
rectangular, butterfly, aviator and navigator designs.
MARKETING: MARKETING: Large posters and a wood cigar box holding 12 sunglasses are available. Each sunglass comes with a newly designed cleaning cloth and semi-hard zipper case crafted of leather (cream for women and caramel for men).

The Tommy Bahama customer is defined as an affluent 35- to 55-year-old who enjoys the finer things in life—whether it’s sailing in the Caribbean or sipping martinis at the local cocktail bar. Although this customer aspires to an upscale lifestyle, the aesthetic is cool and casual—not formal.
