Altair: Tommy Bahama

Altair Eyewear expands its Tommy Bahama line with 10 new ophthalmic styles (six for men and four for women), featuring larger sizes to accommodate bifocals and progressive lenses. Frame materials include plastic and titanium in colors ranging from gold and gunmetal to brown, black, moss green, nutmeg and burgundy. Decorative details consist of sculpted, milled fronts, two-tone plating effects, acid-etched panels, stone embellishments and three-dimensional, laminated floral accents. Frames are equipped with custom-integrated spring hinges.

PHILOSOPHY: “The Tommy Bahama customer is mature, sophisticated and affluent, and does not compromise when it comes to blending fashion with function,” says Melissa Blais, Altair product design manager. “Inspired by the concept of ‘relaxed sophistication,’ the new collection features rich materials, luscious colors and elegant designs while still accommodating the needs of patients who require enhanced visual fields. Customers will appreciate how the new styles perfectly coordinate with the apparel line for spring and summer.”
MARKETING: Merchandising materials include 12-place display and kit boxes, double-sided counter sign/display, countercards and posters. Each frame comes with a case and coordinating micro-fiber cleaning cloth.
