Colors in Optics launches Jessica Simpson Eyewear. The collection targets young, modern women, who seek the latest updates in their eyewear looks. Consisting of 24 ophthalmic styles, the line mirrors European style. Frames are crafted from handmade Italian and French plastics, flat metal and metal/plastic combinations in an array of such trendy color overlays as purple, blue, red, white and black. Shapes include bowties, cat eyes, ovals and rectangles with assorted angles and curves and are dressed with stones and studs for added flair. All frames are equipped with OBE spring hinges.

INSIGHT — Texas-born pop singer Jessica Simpson released her debut album “Sweet Kisses” in 1999. In 2001, her album “Irresistible” was issued and its title track became a smash hit, climbing to number three on the Top 40 mainstream chart. In 2004, she introduced Dessert, a line of cosmetics, fragrances and bath products and in 2005, her clothing lines, Princy and self-named Jessica Simpson, targeting tweens and young professionals with styles ranging from casual jeans to career tops and stilettos.
