Marchon Eyewear launches Karl Lagerfeld Eyewear. Developed in collaboration with eyewear designers Christian Roth and Eric Domege, the new line is targeted to both men and women. Included are 22 sunglasses and 17 ophthalmic styles (seven more ophthalmics will be added by the end of the year). Such elements as metal logo rings on the temple tips and acetate temples on a signature sunglass engraved to look like film strips are translated into the eyewear, reflecting the designer’s love of rings and photography. Seven different logo treatments are used and signature Lagerfeld colors—black and white—run throughout the collection with occasional flashes of orange, red and other hues.
