Luxottica Group launches Donna Karan eyewear.
Targeted to fashionable women between the ages of 30 and 60, the new line is composed of 13 ophthalmic styles (seven metals and six plastics) and 17 sunglasses (nine plastics and eight metals). Highlights of the ophthalmic line include a plastic frame with an assertive, square-ish profile, a cat eye with slim, elegant lines and Swarovski stone décor and a three-piece mount with a rounded bridge and straight temples. The sunglasses are characterized by oversized shapes, including a double-bridge mask design and wrap-around styling.
