Viva International: Ermenegildo Zegna
Tailor-made for stylish men
Viva International Group introduces Ermenegildo Zegna Eyewear. Targeted to affluent, worldly men between the ages of 30 and 55, the new line consists of 16 ophthalmic styles and 19 sunglasses designed to evoke the spirit and style of Ermenegildo Zegna. The initial collection has a “vintage-futuristic” look, reflecting the historical and vintage roots of the line’s inspiration interpreted in a modern vein. Frames are constructed from an innovative combination of materials, including titanium and zyl, and are accented with such details as leather, a chevron design, signature pinstripes and extended logo plaques. Sunglasses are equipped with polarized lenses. The line will have limited distribution and be available in sunglass boutiques and Ermenegildo Zegna stores and from high-end optical retailers.

Revolution Eyewear: Mag N Socket
New and improved
Revolution Eyewear, known for its magnetic clip technology, launches a major innovation—Mag N Socket. Utilizing a patented bottom-mounted treatment featured in all of Revolution’s products, the new, improved patented Auto-Aligning System allows for the magnet to be built inside the endpiece, ensuring the clip is properly attached to the frame and creating a much sleeker design. Large, strong-holding magnets are used. More than 60 styles are currently available and range from drill mounts and semi-rimless designs to fully rimmed frames in metal, including titanium, zyl and metal/zyl combinations. Some styles are accented with Swarovski crystals. Colors range from bronze, copper and gunmetal to black, cocoa, gray and red. More styles will be rolled out through the year.

Modo’s Spring 2006 Collection is geared toward individuals seeking to express their style through elegant design, subtle details and quality in eyewear that stands apart. Handmade in Japan, the collection was developed around three main concepts: beauty, discovery and desire. Included are six block titanium and six textured plastic frames in vibrant colors—scarlet red, green and dual-tone tortoise/pink—and other more classic hues. The styles feature such unexpected details as metal temple tips and some untraditional, yet easy-to-wear, shapes.

OveRx: The next generation
Live Eyewear evolves its OveRx category (sunglasses specifically designed to be worn over prescription eyewear) with Vistana. The new five-style collection, ranging from small to extra-large, features a patented frame design that incorporates the polarized UV400 Polare lens system with Dynamic Base Technology (DBT) to eliminate the side shields traditionally associated with OveRx sunglasses. The new frame architecture delivers an unrestricted 360-degree panoramic view. The Polare lenses are scratch resistant and offered in copper or gray. Frames are made of TR 90, equipped with Flex2Fit adjustable temples and come in glossy black, mica, steel and tortoise.

Zoom USA: Zoom Design
For the young… and those who feel young
Zoom USA launches Zoom Design, targeted to teenagers and people of all ages looking for youthful, bold designs. The collection consists of 20 styles featuring dramatic, unusual two- and three-color combinations, which are accentuated on select styles with laser engravings. The frames are made in Japan and Germany from combinations of monel and zyl, are lightweight and flexible and offer a tailored fit on any face. Many designs have higher bridges. Some frames accommodate progressive lenses.
