Zimco launches Catherine Malandrino Eyewear, bringing the fashion of Paris and the energy of New York City together to reflect the joie de vivre for which the designer is known. Targeted to the Malandrino woman, the new collection, which consists of 20 ophthalmic and sun styles, is timeless, sophisticated, ultra-feminine, daring and sensual. Composed of rich acetates and chic metals, the eyewear takes its inspiration from the Catherine Malandrino spring/summer 2014 collection, utilizing colorblocking, lace effects and perforated leather. The designs, which are variations on  rectangles, CatEyes and butterflies with temples ranging from dramatic to simple, are distinctive, yet wearable and flattering to all face shapes. Each frame is accented with a subtle Catherine Malandrino logo plaque on the interior temple in Malandrino’s signature citrine color.


 

PHILOSOPHY: “We were excited when Catherine Malandrino approached us a couple of years ago about doing an eyewear collection. Now in 2014, the timing was right,” says Zimco president Mitch Zimberg. “We designed the debut collection with the right combination of daring creativity and careful attention to detail, always staying true to the brand’s aesthetic of luxury and fine craftsmanship.”

MARKETING: Logo blocks are currently available to support the new launch. Each frame comes with a leather case and cleaning cloth.
