NOUVEAU: Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Nouveau Eyewear adds the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Eyewear collection to its extremely popular and ever-expanding Nickelodeon children’s eyewear line. Included in the launch are nine ophthalmic styles inspired by the four fun-loving, hard-fighting Ninja Turtles brothers, all named after Renaissance artists. Featuring a mix of plastics and metals in an array of colors, the frames are accented with distinctive character artwork on the interior of each temple and ninja-like details on the exterior. Each frame has a color scheme matching the turtle that inspired it: blue for Leonardo, orange for Michelangelo, purple for Donatello and red for Raphael. Styles range from bold and athletic to geek chic.

PHILOSOPHY: “We combined the hottest kids’ brand with eyewear that fans will love,” says Dominick Sblendorio, Nouveau CEO and president. “This collection perfectly captures the brand, which is one of the highest-rated shows on cable TV and was recently renewed for a third season.”

Nickelodeon, now in its 33rd year, is the number-one entertainment brand for kids. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are a fictional team of four teenage anthropomorphic turtles, who were trained by their anthropomorphic rat sensei in the art of ninjutsu (unconventional warfare). From their home in the storm sewers of New York City, they battle petty criminals, evil overlords and alien invaders, all while remaining isolated from society-at-large.
