Pamela Anderson Collections

Star Power
Revolution Eyewear presents Pamela Anderson eyewear. Taking its name from the former “Baywatch” star, the new line consists of Pamela Anderson Lunettes, a sunwear collection, and Pamela Anderson Bling Bling, an ophthalmic series with magnetic clips. The sunwear collection offers “goggle” elegance and sporty chic in six styles (three shields and three retro/techno designs). Each sunglass comes with a chassis and four magnetic clip-ons. All of the lenses are polycarbonate and are offered in such colors as blue, copper flash, dusk, firestorm, golden flash, ice, pink flash and rainbow green. Polarized lenses are available for some styles. Accents include bold logo treatments and Swarovski crystal encrusted metal facets on the chassis and lenses. The six-style, vintage-inspired Bling Bling collection also features metal detailing and Swarovski crystals. Frame colors range from champagne and diamond to pink, ruby and black. All of the Bling Bling lenses are polarized polycarbonate.
PHILOSOPHY: “We are creating a rich line with a high-end feel that will give consumers of couture eyewear an alternative. Pamela’s name should have as much recognition to the end buyer as any upscale fashion designer name,” says Revolution president Gary Martin.
MARKETING: Merchandising materials include a 12-place display, posters and countercards. Pamela Anderson Lunettes come with a hard case that holds the frame and four lenses. The Bling Bling styles come with a handbag-style case featuring an interior mirror.

Smilen Eyewear: Rawlings

Sport Style
Smilen Eyewear launches Rawlings, a branded eyewear line taking its name from the sport equipment and apparel manufacturer. Targeted primarily to men from the ages of 20 to 60, the initial collection consists of 10 ophthalmic styles and two sunglasses. The frames are made of stainless steel and feature 180-degree flex temples, sport-grip temple tips, longer temples and larger eye sizes. Shapes consist of variations on rectangles in rimless, semi-rimless and fully rimmed designs and are offered in black, brown, gunmetal and matte gray. An optional polycarbonate, polarized clip-on sunlens is available for each frame. The sunglasses are Rxable and have polycarbonate, polarized brown or gray mirror-coated lenses. Additional ophthalmic frames and sunglasses, including unisex styles in smaller sizes, will be added throughout the year.
PHILOSOPHY: “Smilen looks for very well established brands that have been in American culture for many years. Rawlings is perfect for us because it has tremendous credibility and big brand recognition, especially among men,” says Smilen president Scott Smilen.
