Teka Eyewear introduces Huveli Milano, a petite/youth collection targeted primarily to the 10- to 16-year-old age range as well as petite women. Included are 20 styles; most are offered in three colors each. Shapes include rounds, squares and rectangles and are mainly unisex with select gender specific designs. The primary eye size is 47 mm with an occasional 46 mm or 48 mm. Although available in a variety of materials, Teka has found full frame acetate designs work well for this niche. The adjustability, durability and light weight of acetate allows for the best individual fits, the company says.

“Huveli Milano offers petite faces a solution to the limited options available for fashionable and affordable frames,” says Tom Kramer, president, founder and designer of Teka Eyewear. “The frames are offered with various color and shape options while staying consistent with current trends.”
Each frame comes with a hard clamshell case and a one-year warranty. Merchandising materials for Huveli Milano are in the planning stages.

“Teka’s mission since it began in 2007 has been to find a niche that isn’t being filled and fill it. The petite market is definitely a niche that needs to be addressed,” Tom Kramer notes.
