MATCH: DANNY GOKEY EYEWEAR

EYEWEAR IDOL

Under a licensing agreement with Danny Gokey, country/pop artist and philanthropist, Match Eyewear launches a collection of Danny Gokey ophthalmic frames. Sparked by Gokey’s love of fashion eyewear, the new line consists of 12 styles targeted to men 18 to 35 who seek accessible, stylish, functional designs that reflect masculinity and individualism. Described by Match as eyewear with an edge, the collection combines the use of colors, textures, material mixes, and urban and bohemian details to create styles that closely mirror the Danny Gokey culture.

PHILOSOPHY:
“It has been a dream of mine to create my own brand of fashion frames,” says Danny Gokey. “I have been impressed with Match’s designs and quality and see the company as the perfect partner.” Ethan Goodman, Match president, adds: “It has been fun developing this collection with Danny. It’s refreshing to work with an artist with so much passion for eyewear.”

INSIGHT
Best known for his third-place finish on season eight of “American Idol,” Danny Gokey developed a strong knowledge of the optical industry over the past two years through a marketing agreement with Wisconsin Vision, a regional retail chain based in his hometown of Milwaukee. Gokey’s music shares the spotlight with Sophia’s Heart, a foundation he created to help children in need.
