Following the launch of the 12-style Tumi Sunglass Collection previewed here in January, Base Curve/A Luxury Division of Rem Eyewear introduces a 10-style ophthalmic collection under a partnership with Tumi, the premium brand known for its innovative, high quality, stylish travel and business accessories. Frame highlights include silicone “rings of Saturn” temple tips (cast metal with two silicone rings for style and grip) inspired by Tumi zipper pulls, Tumi leather wrapped temples, carbon-fiber temples with the signature Tumi red epoxy tips for added comfort, custom flex double hinges and acid-etched designs on stainless steel, inspired by Tumi’s ballistic patterns. Alternate fit frames have been developed for individuals with little or no nose bridge.

“While designing the optical collection, I took the same detailed process used for the sun collection and the same Tumi elements to create a perfect match between the two categories,” says Nicolas Roseillier, Rem creative director. “The technology incorporates function, incredible materials, exclusive treatment and the special Tumi flex hinge representing the DNA of the world-famous Tumi luggage.”

Merchandising materials include a 10-place display, oversized poster, countercard/picture frame, logo plaque and window decal. Frames come in a triangular case made of ballistic nylon that folds flat.
