Sàfilo USA launches its 21-piece Banana Republic Sun collection (11 women’s styles, nine men’s and one unisex). The line is an updated take on traditional ’60s and ’70s silhouettes, ranging from preppie designs to wraps, aviators and oversized and shield-like shapes. Twelve styles are plastic, eight are metal and one is a plastic/metal combination. Frames are offered in an array of classic metal tones—gold, silver, gunmetal, ruthenium, brown-green, gray and almond; plastic hues—black, tortoise and emerald; and contemporary custom combinations—brown/cream/horn, olive/tortoise and blue/horn. Five styles are Rxable and four are offered with polarized lenses.
