Under a joint venture with Nikon Eyewear, Metzler distributes Nikon’s frame and sunwear collections
Metzler International USA presents the Nikon Eyewear line, a series of collections ranging from ophthalmic frames for adults and children to high-performance sun and sport glasses. More than 100 styles are available. Included are the following: Litanium, a premier collection of 100 percent titanium frames in classic and contemporary designs. Most styles are offered with clip-on, polarized sunlenses. Luminosi-Ti is a collection of titanium sunwear with polarized, photochromic, glass lenses with multi-layer anti-reflection, waterproof and wraparound protective coatings. Additionally, a collection of Luminosi-Ti sunglasses featuring titanium frames and polarized, anti-reflection, polycarbonate lenses is available. Other collections under the Nikon name are Duratitan, a series of traditional and contemporary men’s, women’s and unisex styles; Duratitan II, targeted to value-conscious customers who want the benefits of titanium; Beau-Ti for mature women; Nobili-Ti for larger men; Wave, a collection of trendy stainless-steel styles; and the Kids collection.

Windsor Eyes:
Tango by Adolfo

Adolfo Eyewear targets multi-cultural consumers over 40
Windsor Eyes launches Tango Eyewear by Adolfo, a collection that takes its name from Adolfo, the Cuban-born designer. The new line includes five women’s frames and four men’s styles, all named for dance movements. Four of the styles are titanium. Shapes are classic upsweep and rectangular designs with intricate interlocking endpieces, laser-cut temple details and patterned and pearlized temple tips. Frames are equipped with spring hinges.

PHILOSOPHY: “Our philosophy behind the Tango collection by Adolfo is to create a brand of eyewear that appeals to today’s multi-cultural fashion consumer. Sophisticated designs are produced using high-quality, anti-corrosive materials such as titanium and are supported with bilingual marketing materials. Adolfo is an internationally known and respected designer of apparel and accessories,” says Windsor Eyes managing partner Ken Kitnick.
MARKETING: Merchandising materials include countercards, posters and gift-with-purchase. Bilingual customer support for the Latino market is available.

New York Eye:
Jubilee

New York Eye focuses on the entire family with Jubilee
New York Eye/A Hart Specialties Company introduces Jubilee Eyewear, an economy-price ophthalmic house brand targeted to men, women and children of all ages. The new line contains more than 40 styles in plastic and metal, including monel and stainless steel. Shapes consist of variations on bowties, ovals, rectangles, upsweeps and double-bridge aviator and navigator designs. Some styles are semi-rimless. Frames are available in up to three sizes each and in colors ranging from metal tones to blue, burgundy, lilac, pink and combinations of brown and smoke and black and crystal. Most styles are equipped with spring hinges.

PHILOSOPHY: “With so many options, Jubilee offers the dispenser the ultimate fitting and color options in a value-price line,” says Hart president Arthur Jankolovits.
MARKETING: A brochure highlighting each frame is available. Hard cases can be ordered for the collection at an additional charge.
