Alain Mikli and the 21-year-old Rome-based jewelry designer
Delfina Delettrez collaborate to produce Delfina Delettrez
Sunglasses. Made of acetate and offered in such colors as red and
black, the sunglasses take their inspiration from Delettrez’s jewelry
collection. Ornamentation consists of charms such as small insects,
animals, skulls and dragons also found on the jewelry. One of the
styles Delfina 0904 (pictured here) features a black acetate front
and temples made of leather or sterling silver chains with enameled
sterling silver skulls and flora and fauna hanging earring fashion
from the ends of the chains. The frame fronts are held in place by
the weight of the chains. The charms, which may be collected over
the seasons, can be switched with a simple snap hook.
