Silhouette Optical relaunches its popular Daniel Swarovski Crystal Eyewear collection with renewed emphasis on dramatic designs. Sophistication, elegance and minimal modernism are key elements in the newest styles. The frames feature top-of-the-line colored crystals, tinted lenses and several rimless shapes using Silhouette’s proprietary SPX material. In addition to the core line, there are limited edition collections, including the Cosmic Solitaire ophthalmic collection, Melange sunglasses and the 2008 Holiday Collection (photographed here), featuring premium materials such as 23-karat white and yellow gold and hand-set faceted Xilion Chaton crystals. Most Daniel Swarovski styles are available with extended bridges for fit options and long posts on rimless styles for glazing ease.

INSIGHT
Daniel Swarovski is reputed to be the first brand to place crystals at the focus of its eyewear designs. Originally started by an Austrian glass cutter in 1895, the company now manufactures a wide range of products from sculptures to jewelry to chandeliers and has been creating the star for the top of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree since 2004.
