Formula Follows Function

Sunwear has certainly found a fan-hotspot on the grid of Formula One racing. This time round its Carrera playing a key role with one of the hot teams contesting the 2007 season. The brand is a technical partner of the Spyker Formula One team, which is currently verging on massive popularity thanks to a strong dose of competition spirit.

Spyker is sporting a customised Carrera logo on its entry car, for Dutch racer Christijan Albers, now in his second grand prix racing season. His teammate, German driver Adrian Sutil, is making his debut on the Formula One tracks. For the 2007 season CARRERA has created an exclusive model for the team called SPYKER F1. It will be worn by all the team members including the director, the engineers and the mechanics. The style is actually a revival of the KERAMIKO frame, one of the most successful products of the CARRERA collection. Like the model that inspires it, the new sunwear is distinguished by a race-worthy aerodynamic style. It is detailed with the celebrated "C" icon at the tenon of the temples underlined by the name of the team. The model is available exclusively for the team in gray with orange, to match the colors of the racing car. The exclusive model, along with the other models from the collection, will be featured in the team's hospitality tent during all the races.
