It’s been two months since 20/20 debuted our unprecedented five-cover April issue, but we’re still basking in the afterglow of all the fanfare surrounding this momentous occasion. As if gracing five versions of the April cover with five hot brands along with a video that played in 6,000 New York City taxicabs during Vision Expo East week wasn’t enough, Marchon Eyewear paid tribute to our five covers at the Optical Women’s Association’s annual Star Awards honoring Pleiades Award recipient Sue Downes and Pyxis Award recipient Ann E. Englert. Larger than life 16-foot replicas of all five 20/20 covers towered majestically throughout the Observatory at One World Trade Center, while a 3D version of the 20/20 logo stood tall and proud in the middle of the room. Floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping 360-degree views of the city complemented by a breathtaking sunset made for the perfect backdrop for party revelers. Truly an evening to remember for the 20/20 team... our hearts are full with pride and gratitude toward Marchon for honoring us in the most touching and unforgettable way. We became a part of the NYC skyline that night, and we cherished every single moment.
