ADLENS SELECTED FOR ‘DESIGN FOR LIFE’ EXHIBITION AT MUSEU DEL DISSENY IN BARCELONA
Adlens has been selected to participate in the “Design for Life” exhibition, which began Feb. 19 and runs through May 17 at Barcelona’s Museu del Disseny.

“Design for Life: 99 projects for the Real World” is an interactive temporary exhibition meant to show how design can be combined with a desire to change the reality around us, improving social well-being through the creation of amazing products that make a real, personal difference. 99 design projects that epitomize this have been carefully selected, including Adlens Adjustables eyewear.

The exhibition is composed of six areas as part of a common path, “the thread of life, from conception to death.” The Adlens Adjustables eyewear is displayed in the Design and Accessibility area, featuring products designed to offer assistance with difficult daily tasks. Alongside this, the exhibition features a Test Zone, where some of the exhibited items can be tested by the public, including Adlens Adjustables. Adlens is also providing 30 pairs to be included in a special range of products that children and teenagers can try on, as part of a series of educational school visits.

Adlens Adjustables eyewear is built on Alvarez lens technology. Each lens is comprised of two wave-shaped plates that glide across each other to incrementally adjust the focusing power. This enables correction of over 90 percent of spherical errors (-6 to +3 diopters) in those without astigmatism, significantly improving visual acuityin all kinds of situations, according to Adlens.

STYLE MAVEN SARAH EVANS COVERS SXSW FOR NEW TRANSITIONS CAMPAIGN
Transitions Optical launched its “See Life Through a New Lens” multichannel marketing campaign in mid-March by partnering with style maven and eyeglass guru Sarah Evans. Evans, who has more than 150,000 social media followers, is a longtime eyeglass wearer, and she is passionate about selecting eyeglasses that make a statement. Evans’ resume includes past stints as digital correspondent for PayPal and Cisco. She is also an expert on emerging tech news and trends and an advocate for a unique luxury fashion style, which Evans refers to as “Geek Chic.”

Evans kicked off the “See Life Through a New Lens” campaign at South by Southwest, the Austin, Texas music, film and interactive festival. She developed digital content highlighting the top festival trends, best views and the hottest styles that were featured on her social channels, along with Transitions’ social media.

“Transitions is at the forefront of adaptive lens technology. With Transitions adaptive lenses people can see life the way it is meant to be seen. We are thrilled to have Sarah on board, as her work, style and insights epitomize what it is like to ‘See Life Through a New Lens,’” says Patience Cook, associate director, North America Marketing, Transitions Optical.
