From New York to Milan, Rio de Janeiro and Shanghai to Paris, “The Sartorialist” creator Scott Schuman translates the most impressive trends captured on real people into stunning pictorial images. With the launch of his photography blog in 2005, he drew on an untapped resource of spontaneous, pure style captured with refined vision. It has earned him a household name as The Sartorialist and a place in fashion’s history as one of the first and most prolific street-style photographers.

Luxottica and Schuman are bringing that aesthetic and editorial eye to optical with the recently-launched project “Faces by The Sartorialist” featuring Schuman’s signature photography of authentic individuals as they artfully unite eyewear and dapper duds to define their unique personal style.

“Eyeglasses are a fascinating accessory,” says Schuman. “They can both reveal and transform a person. I’ve noticed people have become much bolder in their choice of eyewear as a fashion accessory. It’s exciting to have this opportunity to capture the real essence of eyeglasses with Luxottica.”

A spectrum of eyewear styles, materials and shapes will be featured in The Sartorialist’s global style spotlight, and direct links to brand websites will invite interested enthusiasts to look further. Keep an eye out along with Schuman as he searches the streets for men and women in the world’s most intriguing eyewear at facesbythesartorialist.com and on Instagram @facesbythesartorialist.
