ZAC POSEN SIGNS WITH KENMARK
Zac Posen, the luxury apparel and accessories brand, and Kenmark have partnered to create a collection of luxury eyewear. The agreement covers the design, production and worldwide distribution of men’s and women’s ophthalmic frames and sunglasses. The collection, scheduled to launch in fall 2014, will reflect the modern American glamour sensibility and creativity of the Zac Posen brand within the boutique design aesthetic and innovation of Kenmark.

MONDOTTICA USA IN LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH CODY AIR
Mondottica USA has entered into a worldwide licensing agreement with Cody Air to manufacture and distribute Cody Air Eyewear. Taking its inspiration from the Machine Age and Art Deco era, Cody Air frames feature aerodynamic, patent-pending designs and are cut from a single sheet of surgical grade stainless steel with no screws or solder points.

SUPERMODEL CLAUDIA SCHIFFER AND RODENSTOCK JOIN FORCES

In collaboration with fashion icon and supermodel Claudia Schiffer, Rodenstock will launch Claudia Schiffer by Rodenstock, a women’s eyewear collection featuring ophthalmic frames and sunglasses. The collection will roll out globally in January 2014.

GIVING TREE EYEWEAR DEBUTS
Founded by Austin Sands, Giving Tree Eyewear launches with an American-made brand of sunglasses in which a percentage of all profits are donated to multiple charities, both environmental and eye-related. The company is using eco-friendly materials and revolutionary technology that makes the frames ultra-lightweight and extremely durable. All styles are equipped with polarized lenses.

EYNACK SUSTAINABLE READERS LAUNCH

Eynack presents a line of readers made from Italian acetate and sustainable bamboo, all with classic silhouettes in vibrant colors. Included are Eye Candy for women and Eye Catcher for men.

REM AND MONDOTTICA UK ANNOUNCE EXPANSION
U.S.-based Rem Eyewear and U.K.-based Mondottica announce the expansion of their joint venture, Remdottica. The expanded partnership brings Rem’s entire collection of eyewear brands to Europe for the first time. Remdottica, which launched in September 2011 to distribute Converse Eyewear throughout the U.K., Republic of Ireland, Holland, France and Spain, will now encompass all of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and include Rem’s entire portfolio of branded eyewear from John Varvatos, Jones New York, Tumi, Lucky Brand and Cosmopolitan.
