Sàfilo Group and Fendi, the iconic, international luxury brand, have entered a nine-year licensing agreement for the design, production and worldwide distribution of Fendi optical frames and sunglasses, valid until Dec. 31, 2022. Conceived and created for an elegant, sophisticated, feminine woman, the Fendi Eyewear collections will be available January 2014 in optical shops, fine department stores and Fendi boutiques worldwide.

DUTCH EYEWEAR BRAND SUZY GLAM DEBUTS

Swiss jewelry designer and Netherlands resident Susanne Klemm in collaboration with Etienne Frederiks, a pioneer in eyewear brands, introduces Suzy Glam, her first eyewear collection. All frames are primarily shaped by hand, then fitted and adjusted again so the frame is literally formed on the face. The collection consists of a series of faceted styles for men and women based on cut gemstones and a series of rounded, smooth surfaces that give the models a different tactile expression from traditional two-dimensional frames.

HOOPS STAR TONY PARKER PARTNERS WITH BOLLE
Continuing a long-standing relationship, NBA star and basketball champion Tony Parker has entered into a three-year partnership with Bolle/A Division of Bushnell Outdoor Products. Among the first projects will be a range of Tony Parker signature sport glasses. The initial releases will be launched in September. Additional products will be added during the span of the contract.

PAWS N CLAWS SIGNS WITH WINSDOR EYES
Under a distribution agreement between Eyewear Inventions, LLC, Eye Deals Eyewear and Windsor Eyes, Windsor Eyes will distribute Paws N Claws Eyewear to independent ECPs. Paws N Claws Eyewear is an official licensee of the ASPCA with the exclusive rights to use its name and affiliation in association with products including eyeglass frames, lenses, sunglasses, readers, magnifiers and accessories that include the Paws N Claws Eyewear registered trademark.

IMAGEWEAR LAUNCHES LONDON FOG POLARIZED SUNWEAR
ImageWear, a division of Walman Optical, introduces a polarized sunwear collection. Included are 10 women’s plastics, three men’s metals and two plastic unisex designs, all with polarized lenses. Styles are Rxable and range from oversized plastics to a modified aviator.

SÀFILO AND MARC JACOBS ANNOUNCE EARLY RENEWAL OF LICENSE
Sàfilo Group and designer Marc Jacobs (Marc Jacobs International) announce the renewal of their licensing agreement for the design, manufacture and worldwide distribution of Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs branded optical frames and sunglass collections. The new agreement will now run until Dec. 31, 2024.

PREGIATA SIGNS WITH TOM REBL
Pregiata Eyewear, a new Padua, Italy-based eyewear company and Tom Rebl, a young, edgy fashion brand from the underground arena, have entered into an international licensing agreement for the design, manufacture and distribution of ophthalmic frames and sunglasses, effective through Dec. 31, 2020. The sunwear collection made its debut on the runway of Milano Modo Uomo, a fashion trade show, in June and will be presented in full at the White Show Milano in September. The ophthalmic collection will launch at Mido in 2014.

ZYLOWARE LAUNCHES RED LOTUS
To address the fitting needs of women who require styles that fit broader faces, flatter bridges, high cheekbones and/or wide foreheads and want fashion-forward styling, Zyloware launches Red Lotus by Zyloware, a six-style collection in 14 SKUs. The frames incorporate such fashion elements as rich colors, animal prints, layering and engravings along with adjustable gooseneck nosepads and a wider angle of flair to accommodate flatter bridges and high cheekbones.
