It’s only the second time around for 20/20’s Frame of the Month but we’re already shaking up the rules. Actually… there are no rules. Here’s what went down when a hot little “tomato” (so to speak) by fashion designer L’Wren Scott with the whimsical style number of 331002 (catchy… right?!) caught our eye… and… the eyes of everyone socialEYEzing with 20/20.

The monthly eyewear review process for a March Expo issue can be grueling. Nearly 80 boxes of frames from as many vendors. Virtually hundreds upon hundreds of specs. Help! So… the staff spied this tomato-red cateye with clever notches clipped right out of the frame front. We loved it. We started making noise at the review on Instagram and Twitter. We continued with some insider glimpses at our photo shoot. It certainly felt like Eastern States might have a hit on its hands with this new L’Wren Scott collection via an agreement with the German-based Ferdinand Menrad. But what cinched this Frame of the Month spotlight is the overwhelming enthusiastic response from our loyal followers on 2020mag’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We’re STILL getting accolades online for style 331002. The frame is certainly one very HOT tomato.
