MARCHON ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF DRAGON
Marchon Eyewear has purchased Dragon Alliance, one of the world’s leading goggle and eyewear brands in the action sport market. Founded by Will Howard, Dragon delivers performance eyewear for surfing, snowboarding and riding dirt bikes. The company’s focus is on creating high quality functional products that push the boundaries such as the recent groundbreaking frameless Advanced Projects Infinity snow goggle.

MARCOLIN AND BALENCIAGA SIGN LICENSE
Marcolin Group and Balenciaga have signed an exclusive five-year licensing contract with a renewal available for 10 additional years for the production and worldwide distribution of sunglasses and eyeglass frames with the Balenciaga brand name. The Balenciaga line, which will be positioned in the luxury sector, is scheduled for a 2013 launch.

CHARMANT’S LINE ART ADDS MEN’S COLLECTION
The Charmant Group has expanded Line Art to include two new collections: Rondo, consisting of two women’s designs; and the four-piece Tenor, its first collection for men. Line Art frames are made of Excellence Titan and are inspired by music. The line now includes 19 styles.

BARBARA WRIGHT PARTNERS WITH ILLUSION OPTICAL DISPLAYS
Barbara Wright Design joins forces with Illusion Optical Displays (I.O.D.) to offer a line of optical displays created to enhance any dispensary. The new line features three collections ranging from contemporary to traditional, personally designed by Wright. Included is everything from dispensing tables to display cases in a wide range of sizes.

NIKE VISION PARTNERS WITH TRANSITIONS
Nike Vision, available from Marchon Eyewear, has partnered with Transitions Optical to introduce Nike MAX Transitions adaptive sunglasses. Available in two of Nike’s most popular sunglass styles, the Show X2 and SQ, and two lens colors, a violet tint for golf and a green outdoor tint that increases contrast and enhances the visual spectrum in natural environments, the new sun lenses respond to changing light while maintaining true to Nike’s advanced, sport performance engineering.

CAREY HART ENDORSES IVI
IVI has announced the addition of entrepreneur, FMX Legend and MX team owner Carey Hart as a brand ambassador. IVI, a premium sunglass and accessories brand founded through the combined vision of skateboard mogul and television star Rob Dyrdek, action sport designer Jerome Mage and Fox Head CEO Pete Fox, bridges the gap between action sports/street culture and luxury fashion.
