MARCHON ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH CHLOÉ
Chloé signs a licensing agreement with Marchon Eyewear, granting Marchon the rights to manufacture and distribute the sunglass and ophthalmic frame collections under the renowned Chloé brand. The first deliveries will be effective Sep. 1, 2012. The Chloé Eyewear collection will capture the fluid femininity of the brand, taking inspiration from Chloé’s seasonal ready-to-wear collections, accessories and iconic pieces.

IMAGEWEAR SIGNS LONDON FOG

ImageWear, a division of Walman Optical, has signed a licensing agreement with the London Fog brand for the design, manufacture and distribution of London Fog branded eyewear. Targeted to women ages 25 to 45 who want eyewear that goes from the office to weekend, the initial collection is available now and features Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls band and “X Factor” TV show in its ad campaign.

ESPRIT RENEWS WITH CHARMANT

Esprit has renewed its eyewear licensing agreement with Charmant Inc. The agreement was originally signed in October 1994.

ASPEX EYEWEAR INTROS GRILAMID TR90
Aspex Eyewear introduces Aspex Grilamid TR90, a line of frames constructed from thermoplastic polyamide, a new, advanced polymer developed exclusively for Aspex. The material is 20 percent lighter than other plastics and is known for its extreme flexibility, durability, temperature resistance, non-allergenic properties and the ability to maintain rich colors and finishes after prolonged exposure to sunlight. Aspex/TR90 frames are now available through all Aspex brand lines, including EasyClip, Manhattan Design Studio and Takumi Magnetic Eyewear.

SHAUNS SHADES LAUNCHES DEBUT COLLECTION
San Francisco-based Shauns Shades launches its first collection, a line of premium sunglasses based on the concept of donating one pair of eyeglasses to those in need throughout developing nations for each pair of Shauns Shades sold. The new sunglasses are made of hand-cut Italian acetate and equipped with Carl Zeiss lenses. All styles incorporate long bow technology and European tailoring to reduce temple pressure.

MARVEL LICENSES MAUI JIM FOR AMAZING SPIDER-MAN SUNGLASSES
Marvel Entertainment, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, announces a licensing agreement with Maui Jim, the polarized sunglass manufacturer for a new collection of sunglasses inspired by the movie “The Amazing Spider-Man,” which will launch in theaters on July 3, 2012. The Amazing Spider-Man sunglass collection will be sold exclusively in North America at Sunglass Hut, a division of Luxottica, and internationally at authorized Maui Jim retailers beginning July 2012. Maui Jim has created an array of Spider-Man styles for adults featuring movie-based art and graphics.

IVI EYEWEAR TO LAUNCH IN SPRING 2012
Skateboard mogul and TV star Rob Dyrdek and Pete Fox, CEO of Fox Head Inc., have joined forces to launch IVI Eyewear (pronounced “eye-vee”) in Spring 2012. Jerome Mage, also a partner, is the head designer. The new line is a premium sunglass brand that marries elevated street fashion and action sports, and will be available to lifestyle boutiques and premium action sport, sunglass specialty and optical retailers.
