VISION-EASE ANNOUNCES ‘ENDLESS SUMMER’ PROMOTION WINNER
Summer has come and gone, and Vision-Ease Lens has announced Maria Carver from Union Eyecare in Parma, Ohio as grand prize winner of the “Endless Summer” promotion. Carver received a dream vacation of her choosing valued at $4,000.

“Coppertone lenses are the only polarized lenses we sell, and they sell themselves,” Carver says. “We are able to educate the public on what to look for in a quality lens, and Coppertone gives the customer that ‘wow factor’ they are looking for.”

From April 1 through July 31, 2011, participating retailers earned three raffle tickets for each pair of Coppertone polarized lenses sold and one raffle ticket for each pair of SunRx lenses sold. Hundreds of other prizes including backpacks, T-shirts, barbeque sets and more were also given away.

“Essilor is proud to express our gratitude and appreciation for ECPs through the Preferred Pairings promotion,” says Carl Bracy, senior vice president of marketing and new business, Essilor of America. “We are excited to reward ECPs’ loyalty and celebrate their growth along with Essilor and the Crizal and Transitions brands.”

Grand prize trips for two include airfare, luxury hotel accommodations and transfers. Winners will visit Napa Valley and experience the beauty and history of the California wine country through tours and sightseeing excursions. Along with the legendary accommodations at the Villagio Inn & Spa in Yountville, Calif., trip recipients will experience the sights of Napa Valley, exploring vineyards, wineries and experiencing fine dining in some of the finest restaurants in the world.

The Preferred Pairings promotion provides ECPs with two ways to win: Grand Prize—Trips for two to Napa Valley, to the top sellers of Crizal and Transitions lens products. ECPs will earn points for every Crizal and every Transitions lens order placed during the promotion. A total of 55 trips will be awarded. ECPs can visit preferredpairings.com to answer two trivia questions for a chance to win daily and monthly prizes. The 10 daily prize winners will receive a general use gift card in the amount of $10, $25 or $50, and the two monthly prize winners will receive a $500 general use gift card. To increase chances of winning, all practice staff can get involved and benefit.

SHAMIR EDUCATES AND ENTERTAINS ATTENDEES AT VEW

Shamir Insight educated and entertained visitors who stopped by their International Vision Expo West booth. Utilizing their Shamir sales app, attendees who stopped by the booth were able to watch a short video on Shamir Relax, which led them on an educational journey hosted by Shamir’s animated spokesman, Mr. Progresso. After attendees viewed Shamir’s presentation, they were able to play Shamir’s Relax and Rebound game. Participants were also given the opportunity to shoot hoops for a chance to win tickets for various prizes. Five total raffle drawings were held and at each drawing, participants had the chance to win a Relax goody bag, one of two Apple iPod Touches and an Apple iPad.
