EASTERN STATES OFFERS CUSTOM CLIPS Eastern States Eyewear and 1-800-CLIP-ONS have entered into an exclusive program that makes custom clip-on sun lenses for Eastern States’ entire line. Eyecare providers can open an account by calling 1-800-CLIP-ONS and will be supplied with a starter kit, containing a color chart, order forms and a sample frame with clip-on, at no cost. All clip-on lenses are polycarbonate and available in both standard and polarized. BARTON PERREIRA AND BAUMVISION PARTNER FOR EUROPEAN DISTRIBUTION Premium eyewear design and distribution company Barton Perreira has entered into an exclusive partnership with European designer and distributor Baumvision. As of July 1, 2009, Baumvision began providing European distribution and support for Barton Perreira’s sunglass and ophthalmic collections. The collections are being distributed to a limited number of exclusive eyewear retailers throughout Europe. EUROPA INTROS KIDS’ COLLECTION Europa International launches DB4K, an offshoot of its popular David Benjamin collection. Targeted to children five to 10 years old, DB4K consists of 12 styles in metal and plastic in vivid colors with such fun embellishments as embossed soccer balls and laser-cut floral motifs. Features include spring hinges and adjustable nosepads. Two styles are equipped with cable temples. LIBERTY SPORT ADDS SUN READERS Liberty Sport introduces the Liberty Sport Sun
Reader Collection, featuring a reading segment positioned to optimize distance viewing, while also offering near power when needed. The readers are equipped with premium sport sun lenses with mirror coatings. The collection consists of three of Liberty Sport’s most popular styles: Adventure 1, Biker and Eagle. Each style is offered in powers of +1.50, 2.00 and +2.50. A three-place display is available. ARTFUL CASES FROM PASSIONATE BRUSH Passionate Brush, a Lancaster, Calif.-based eyeglass case company, introduces the BKB line, which consists of micro-fiber hard cases with matching micro-fiber cleaning cloths, featuring the contemporary artwork of Barbara Katz Beirman. More than 30 designs are featured on the cases and have all been transferred from original pieces of art.
