ClearVision, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, recently
honored founders
Fred and Mimi Friedfeld at its national sales
meeting in Naples, Fla. The couple was presented with a special
anniversary photo signed by everyone in attendance.
At the meeting, ClearVision also launched its year-long campaign,
“Making a Difference for 60 Years.” Advocating positive
change in the community has always been at the core of the company’s
mission. Building upon the foundation Fred and Mimi
created, David and Peter Friedfeld, the current generation of
Friedfeld ownership, have raised the bar on making giving back
a priority. Through collaborative projects with licensors, customers,
colleagues and employees, the company has raised money for
breast cancer organizations, such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure
and The Carol M. Baldwin Research Fund, Inc., plus the New
York Children’s Vision Coalition. The
company also contributed
to The Save the Children Foundation through the optical
industry’s first cause-specific licensed eyewear program.
“We are grateful to our customers
who have given us the opportunities to give back
to the community. A community that has been so good to us and
has enabled us to be in the position we are in today,” says Mimi
Friedfeld. “We really appreciate our family, our customers, our
friends in the industry, as well as all the ClearVision employees who
support us in our philanthropic endeavors.”
