It was all about casting your vote… with a little eyewear thrown in for good measure. Sàfilo USA and Solstice Sunglass Boutique joined together as sponsors of the Red, White & Blue Mega Summer Oasis Gifting Retreat and Lounge hosted by R&B singer Christina Milian. The event helped raise awareness for “Declare Yourself,” a national non-partisan, non-profit organization. The group was founded by television producer Norman Lear in 2003, to energize and empower every eligible 18- to 29-year-old in America to register and vote in presidential elections. “A Declare Yourself” voter registration booth was set up at the event for guests to register to vote in the upcoming election. Many celebrity guest attendees were fit with the latest and greatest sunglasses from Sàfilo. Among them host Christina Milian in Kate Spade Jenel, Joey Lawrence, late of “Dancing with the Stars,” in Carrera Gypsy sunglasses, Justin Martin of “High School Musical” in 55DSL Lucky Luik, James Kyson Lee of the hit series “Heroes” in Carrera Champions and Jamie Chung of MTV’s long-running reality TV series “The Real World” in Jimmy Choo Lou sunglasses.
