Couteur Designs: Jhane Barnes Sunwear

Couteur Designs, a division of the Kenmark Group, adds a sunwear collection to the Jhane Barnes eyewear lined launched last year. Targeted to men looking for upscale, modern styles, the sunglasses are available in seven shapes, ranging from updated aviators to modified rectangles with six- or eight-base curves. Frames are made of zyl, stainless steel and flat metal and are offered in black, brown, gunmetal and tortoise. All lenses are polarized. Just as with the ophthalmics, custom Jhane Barnes patterns have been replicated on the sunglass temples and each design is finished with a signature square temple tip featuring four stainless-steel inserts.

PHILOSOPHY: “Jhane Barnes sunwear offers masculine shapes and colors in modern designs,” says Jason Wehlage, Kenmark product designer. “Incorporating the same design aesthetic as her eyewear collection, Jhane Barnes sunwear features polarized lenses and a masculine fit for men looking for both fashion and function in their sunwear.”
MARKETING: Merchandising materials include four- and six-place displays. Each sunglass comes with a Jhane Barnes aluminum case, cleaning cloth and three-year warranty.
