Sans Pareil: Linda Evans Fashion Stones Collection
San Pareil adds the Fashion Stones Collection to its Linda Evans line of eyewear. Targeted to mature women, the new collection features three metal styles, with three more to follow shortly. Each of the frames is enhanced with gem-like stones on the temples. Shapes include variations on cat-eye, oval and rectangular designs. Frame colors consist of amethyst, gold/silver, silver, mahogany, mocha, rose demi and wheat, each with coordinating stones in crystal, amber, amethyst, aquamarine or rose. All frames are equipped with soft nosepads and spring hinges and are offered in eye sizes of 50mm and 52mm with an 18mm bridge and 135mm temple lengths.

She is also the inspiration behind this new eyewear collection. Always in perfect taste, these frames go from sophisticated everyday wear to an elegant look for that special occasion, adding a new dimension to classic feminine frames,” says Sans Pareil president Steve Lipawsky. PRESENTATION: Merchandising materials include a rose-color suede jewelry box display for four or eight frames, single-frame display box, display mat and three pillows (one is a black square and the others are heart designs in rose). Each frame comes with a rose-color suede-like hard case.


Essilor: Ovation in Next Generation Transitions

Essilor of America introduces its popular Ovation progressive lens in Next Generation Transitions. Ovation was designed to custom fit the prescription, matching the different needs of farsighted and nearsighted wearers. Features include a soft periphery and short progression length, suitable for most small frame designs. Next Generation Transitions is as clear as regular lenses indoor, as dark as sunglasses outdoor, activates six times faster than Transitions III, fades back almost four times faster, won’t wear out over time, works in any temperature and offers 100 percent UV protection. Additionally, the tint color stays the same from light to dark to light and the lens is scratch resistant
.
PHILOSOPHY: “We are thrilled to offer our Ovation progressive lens technology in today’s best photochromic technology. Next Generation Transitions lenses are virtually indistinguishable from regular lenses indoor. Mitani USA: a/p lab Men’s Collection


Mitani USA expands its a/p lab line with the addition of a men’s collection consisting of six titanium and three plastic frames, including three semi-rimless and two double-bridge designs. Two of the titanium frames have trogamid temples, an extremely lightweight plastic that can be both transparent and hold color. Rubberon, a form of rubber, is also incorporated into some styles for added comfort. Shapes include variations on rectangles and bowties. Eye sizes are larger (52mm and 54mm). All frames are offered in four colors and include double laminates and rich, but subtle hues
.
PHILOSOPHY: “With this new collection, we want to broaden the appeal of an already great collection and move toward the fashion-conscious male clientele. Frames are getting larger so we decided to launch a line directed at Baby Boomers. We looked at such classic masculine frame designs as double-bridge, semi-rimless and plastic styles and modernized the looks using the Mitani design team eye for detail and style,” says Mitani USA national sales manager Ron Morris.
