Altair: Sigrid Olsen Sunglasses

Altair Eyewear presents its Sigrid Olsen Winter 2008 Sunglass collection, consisting of five styles (four acetate and one acetate/metal combination). Shapes include modified oval, rectangular and square designs in eye sizes of 57mm to 62mm. Colors range from blackberry, butterscotch, emerald and garnet to gray mist, onyx crystal, tortoise and black or brown python with such design elements as split temples, laser-cut metal accents and a floral-inspired metal-stud pattern. Each frame comes with coordinating gradient or solid tint lenses, some with a subtle flash mirror treatment. All lenses offer 100 percent UV400 protection.

PHILOSOPHY: “The newest Sigrid Olsen sunglasses put an emphasis on rich color combinations, bold patterns and striking textures. The target demographic is consistent with the core Sigrid Olsen consumer—professional women ages 25 to 55. But with the addition of bright colors and animal prints, these new styles also appeal to women as young as 18,” says Tamara Hopps, Altair brand marketing manager.

MARKETING: An eight-place display and countercards are available. Each sunglass comes with a soft-sided pouch and coordinating cleaning cloth and is packaged in a green gift box.
