Legacie Eyewear, a Luxury House of B Robinson Optical, launches Betsey Johnson Eyewear, a collection of 13 ophthalmic frames and five sunglasses. Drawing inspiration from iconic Betsey Johnson designs, each style reflects her innovative approach in unexpected ways with such three-dimensional details as angel wings, ribbons, a pitch fork and cutout hearts on the temple tips. The initial line is predominantly zyl with some titanium and zyl/metal combinations. Shapes include extreme cat eyes and sleek, modern rectangles. Intricate multi-layered custom colors were designed with Johnson’s startling color palate in mind. Shades of jade, orchid, marigold, periwinkle and cream, and stars, stripes, polka dots, psychedelic swirls and cheetah prints complement the new designs.
