SUIT YOURSELF
The message is “well-dressed, perfectly suited and thick-knot-tied” for spring-and-beyond in this rest of 2005 and on into next year. More and more men are dressing up (again) for success so it should comes as no surprise that

“The Soprano’s” Tony Sirico should be leading the way at the recent Expo East as the man with a plan… and a pocket square. He made his point (and offers of his signature that NO ONE refused) all in the company (and shades) of Revolution’s Gary Martin.

Set for now through to the end of 2005 consumers who purchase Rudy Project eyewear from an authorized Rudy dealer are eligible to select an authentic Rudy Project premium, such as a Rudy sports bag, pack or clothing. Consumers are directed to the Rudy Project web site to select their premium and process their request. Our intent is to rotate the premiums that we offer throughout the year.” Check it out at http://www.rudyprojectusa.com/consumerpromo/ordering.htm. GO ARMY
Wiley X has joined MB2 Motorsports as an associate sponsor of the No. 01 U.S. Army Chevrolet, driven by Joe Nemechek. Their logo will appear on the rear deck lid and B-pillars of the car. Our friends at Wiley X are looking forward to a great season and competing for the 2005 Nextel Cup. We’re hoping they invite us along to cheer in person.

The Army connection has a long history with Wiley X dating to 1986 when they produced shatterproof eye gear for U.S. Military Special Forces and Law Enforcement agencies nationwide. Shatterproof, Selenite, polycarbonate lenses define the ballistic qualities of their HVP (High Velocity Protection) Series. Some models have been tested to withstand a 12 gauge shotgun blast from 10 yards away. Wiley X currently supplies the FBI, DEA, Army Rangers, Navy Seals and Military Special Forces. They’ve also supplied over one million frames to all of the armed services.

“To be a sponsor on the U.S. Army Nextel Cup race car is a natural fit for us,” says Myles Freeman, Wiley X co-owner and vice president of sales. “Since we manufacture the number one tactical eyewear that U.S. Armed Forces prefer, we felt that this was an excellent opportunity to join the Army NASCAR team and assist in the recruitment process of future American heroes.” Jay Frye, MB2 Motorsports general manager says, “We are proud of the affiliation. Wiley X is a company dedicated to researching and producing an eyewear product that protects our troops. And secondly, the durability, the fit and ballistic protection of the Wiley X eyewear makes it a perfect product for our pit crew members.” —JJS
