It’s all for a good cause. Sáfilo is the special benefactor for the fifth annual “QVC’s Cure By The Shore,” which will be broadcast live from Malibu, Calif., on Saturday, June 1 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., ET.

With celebrity guest host Don Diamont of the soap “The Young and the Restless,” the televised fundraiser should reach 82 million American homes and benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS). The special will feature a wide array of sunglasses, accessories and beauty items at half the retail price from a roster of leading inter-national designers, brands and manufacturers.

Sáfilo is donating over 54,000 pairs of sunglasses estimated at more than $350,000 from its Burberry, Carrera, Christian Dior, Gucci, Kate Spade and Valentino licensed eyewear collections. The company was also the special benefactor in 2000. Sáfilo is further aiding the cause by donating a portion of the proceeds from its Accessories Council industry fundraiser, “A Night in Venice,” hosted in its New York showroom to NMSS.
