Co-founded in 2009 in Brooklyn, N.Y., by creative director Mark Craig and business director Anthony Codispoti, Activist Eyewear debuted with the goal of redefining high performance. To achieve their goal the founders have developed new technologies such as the signature Split-Fit temple and Activizm polarized lenses, melding them with elements of classic style. Split-Fit technology increases the surface area of the frame, making the fit more comfortable by eliminating pressure on the temples. Lenses feature an advanced ultra-thin film polarization filter suspended in the core, are impact resistant and have an AR coating and oleophobic seal. The entire line is designed in Brooklyn and manufactured in Japan from premium materials such as beta titanium, surgical stainless steel, high-density rubber and the finest acetate. All styles feature the delta logo, a reference to the scientific symbol for change. The collection currently consists of sun and ophthalmic styles for both men and women.
