MARCHON AND NINE WEST SIGN WORLDWIDE LICENSING AGREEMENT
The Jones Group has entered into an exclusive, worldwide licensing agreement with Marchon Eyewear for the creation, production, marketing and global distribution of ophthalmic frames and prescription-ready sunglasses under the Nine West brand. Under the agreement, the Nine West ophthalmic eyewear collection will be marketed and sold globally to upscale optical chains and optical specialty retailers, and by individual eyecare professionals beginning in early October 2012. The initial collection will consist of more than 20 optical styles and 12 sunglasses.

PERRY ELLIS ANNOUNCES NEW AGREEMENT WITH EYEWEAR DESIGNS

PEI Licensing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Perry Ellis International, has entered a licensing agreement with Oxford Ophthalmic Corporation, a division of Eyewear Designs, to design, manufacture and distribute sunglasses and readers in the retail channel under the Perry Ellis brand. The multi-year agreement includes options for renewal. The new Perry Ellis line will consist of men’s and women’s sunglasses and readers. Product will be distributed in department stores and specialty shops throughout the U.S. and Canada. Eyewear Designs will begin initial shipments of Perry Ellis men’s sunglasses in October 2012.

PM INTERNATIONAL RELAUNCHES MATSUDA
New eyewear distribution company, PM International, relaunches the luxury Japanese eyewear brand, Matsuda, in North America. Taking its name from the late fashion designer Mitsuhiro Matsuda, the collection consists of 24 styles handcrafted in Japan and includes both new styles and reissues of bestselling styles from the past.

FUSION EYEWEAR TO DISTRIBUTE IYOKO INYAKE IN CANADA
Fusion Eyewear, the current distributor for Iyoko Inyake in the U.S., South America and the Caribbean, is now distributing the iconic collection in Canada. Iyoko Inyake is a fashion-forward, high-end collection catering to the boutique customer, but with wearable shapes and colors. Forty new styles were released in September.

OLIVER GOLDSMITH INTROS KIDS’ SUNGLASSES
Oliver Goldsmith launches OG Mini Icons, a five-style collection of sunglasses for children. Included are Oliver Goldsmith’s most iconic styles—Bude, Carl, Glyn, Lord and Sophia—sized for kids. Each style is offered in four colors.
