Kenmark/B Robinson: Cynthia Rowley

Optical is launching a new Cynthia Rowley Eyewear collection—the first offering under the companies’ strategic alliance for collaborative design and distribution. Targeted to women 21 to 45, the initial launch consists of eight ophthalmic and four sunwear designs in such feminine shapes as cat eyes, butterflies and soft rectangles. Several frames are adorned with stone and jewel embellishments, while others offer laser-cut treatments in rich colors of raspberry, caramel and eggplant. Equipped with gradient sunlenses, the oversized sunglasses are accented with combinations of shiny cabochons, silver and gold studs, marbleized stones and pearls.

Cynthia Rowley is an award-winning fashion designer who is known for her wit, originality and creativity. Over a decade ago, she launched her first line of women’s apparel. Today her collection has expanded to include fragrance and cosmetics, menswear, shoes, handbags, watches and hosiery.

Zyloware: Invincilites Epsilon

Hanging lenses

Zyloware adds Epsilon to its highly successful Invincilites line introduced in 2004 and known for its
lightweight-streamlined construction and contemporary designs with a modern touch. The three-piece Epsilon collection brings a new dimension to this functional brand with its hanging lens design based on nylon cord semi-rimless construction. Epsilon 1 and 2 (brother and sister frames) each feature an angular browbar and lenses with the illusion of being suspended in air. The secret is a razor-thin eyewire that mounts near the bridge edge (like any standard semi-rimless frame, in the groove), resulting in an impactful, minimal look. Epsilon 3 completes the hanging lens effect by utilizing a one-piece, milled topbar. All three styles have stainless-steel fronts and micro-thin spring-hinge temples designed to keep the focus on the wearer’s eyes. Included are modified oval and rectangular shapes in beige, lavender, sand, shiny black, shiny brown and shiny mahogany.

Avalon: Oleg Cassini Collections

From platinum to couture

The Oleg Cassini Eyewear line is tailor-made for those who seek the timeless elegance and consummate style the fashion icon himself represents. The collection consists of more than 70 ophthalmic and sun styles, including sub-collections that are represented in the designer’s apparel lines, such as the new Oleg Cassini Couture and Oleg Cassini Platinum collections. Oleg Cassini Platinum is a collection of six men’s frames constructed all or in part of titanium with natural wood and zyl temples with sophisticated metal accents. Included are retro and classic designs in gold, silver, black, brown and gunmetal. Eye sizes range from 52mm to 54mm. All styles are equipped with spring hinges. Oleg Cassini Couture contains six women’s frames with 18-karat gold plating, jeweled accents and color techniques reminiscent of cloisonné enamel. The line consists of various shapes including soft rectangles and semi rimless, modified cat eyes with two-tone temples and open temple work. Eye sizes are 53mm to 56mm.
